Memorial service for Richard "Red" Ave will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Walker Funeral Home. Full Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 42 Drill Team. Richard "Red" Harry Ave rode the stairway to heaven on March 9, 2015 at Campbell County Hospital due to a long illness. Red was born on June 10th 1956 to Frances and Dick Ave in Medina, Ohio. He joined the United States Navy on April 26, 1974. He was stationed on the USS Constellation until the time he was honorably discharged. He worked at Bill Barth Motors for 15 years, and then went to work in the oilfields until his accident in 2005. He then spent the rest of his days with his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He married in 1980 and from that union he had two beautiful daughters Brandie Marie Ave and Crystal Nycole Ave. He married Tammie McGee on May 25, 2005 bringing another daughter Bobbi Joe Guettler. He is survived by his wife, Tammie Ave; daughters, Brandie (Josh) O'dell, Crystal (Edward) Ave, Bobbi (Raymond) Guettler, grandchildren, Dylon, Jadess, Freedom Ave- O'dell, Jaymison, Devin, Damen, Deryk, Little Richard Jr Ave- Hyatt, Shelton (Tisha) Jilek, Skylar Jilek, Alyssa Engdahl and Logan Engdahl; great grandchildren, Ava Jilek and Kaeden Jilek; siblings, Christine (Richard) Trujillo, Jerry Rose, Scott Ave, Renee Kosik, Sherry Ramy- Ave, Stepmom Jo-mama Ave along with many nieces and nephews. Red is preceded in death by his parents, Dick Ave and Frances Summers, Uncle Dave Kelly and many others. A memorial has been established in Red's name.
