Memorial service for Robert Marostica will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at Gillette Memorial Chapel, Erik Bergquist officiating. Robert (Bob) Marostica passed away at home on March 4, 2015 after a long illness. Bob was born June 14, 1949 in Sterling, Colorado to John and Inez (Carrigan) Marostica. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, CO in 1967. Bob's last year of High School he trained to be a Meat Cutter at Hays Market, in Johnstown, CO. In 1967, he accepted a full time Meat Cutter position at Ted and Chet's in Greeley, CO. Bob married Gale Helzer, on January 24, 1969. They had two daughters, Tara and Tori. He moved to Safeway in Greeley, CO on April 1, 1974. Bob's love of the mountains prompted the family move to Steamboat Springs, CO in 1983 where he was the Meat Manager. Bob spent as much time as possible hunting, camping, fishing and shooting in I.P.S.C. tournaments. The family then returned to Windsor, CO in 1988. Bob met the love of his life, Julia Pope which prompted his retirement on September 22, 2007 and his move to Gillette, WY. He is survived by the love of his life Julia Pope, daughters; Tara Marostica (Glen Bedell) of Parker, CO, Tori (John) Griscavage of Fort Collins, CO, grandchildren; Karlea and Kyler Griscavage, Brenner and Madison Bedell, brothers; Don (Carol) Marostica of Loveland, CO, Richard (Trina) Marostica of Platteville, CO, sisters; Deb (Randy) Walter of Greeley, CO, and Kathie Marostica of Johnstown, CO along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Inez Marostica. The family requests that memorials be made in Bob's name to Close to Home Hospice.
