Mass of Christian Burial for Jenilee Carter and unborn baby, Abel James Dean Carter will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church with Father Cliff Jacobson and Deacon Kim Carroll officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, February 6th at Gillette Memorial Chapel. A vigil will follow from 6-7 p.m.. Jenilee Marie Carter, 31, and her unborn baby, Abel James Dean Carter went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 30th, 2015. Jeni was born in Sidney, Montana, January 31, 1983 to Sherry Oxtra and Barry Baker. She attended school in Sidney, Montana through her junior year and enjoyed swim team, softball, choir and spending time with her family and friends. She moved with her family to Gillette, WY in 2000 and graduated from Westwood High School in 2001. During her senior year she was involved in the girls fast pitch softball league. Jeni is the third oldest out of six girls. Her time spent with her family involved many camping trips full of singing and laughing. Jeni was a beautiful soul. Family and friends meant everything to her as did her desire to be a mom and wife. Her wishes were first fulfilled by having her son Dyllan with Darren. Her dream of becoming a wife and having more children was later met by reuniting with a longtime family friend Billy Carter. Jeni and Billy were married on February 14, 2013 and four days later welcomed their daughter Lilyanna. Jeni gained four beautiful daughters through her marriage; Piper, Caitlynne, Izabella and Paitton. At the time of her passing Jeni was a stay at home wife and mom, but her love for children didn't stop with her children, nieces and nephews, it extended into her prior career as a case manager at the Y.E.S. House Crisis Shelter. It meant so much to her to be able to give back to children and families in need. Prior to the Y.E.S. House she also worked as an EMT for various mine sites. Jeni gave to the community by briefly volunteering as a firefighter/EMT with Campbell County Fire Department before choosing to start a family. Jeni's love for her family and friends, music and the Lord made her a remarkable person. She taught so many about forgiveness and how to live each day loving one another.Jeni is survived by her husband and the love of her life Billy Carter; son, Dyllan, daughters, Lilyanna, Piper, Caitlynne, Izabella, and Paitton; parents, Ted and Sherry Oxtra of Gillette, WY and Barry and Charlene Baker of Corpus, Christi, TX; sisters, Danielle (Chad) McLaughlin of Gillette, WY, Lisa Baker of Gillette, WY, Adrian Velasco of Houston, TX, Taera (Timmy) McWha of Corpus Christi, TX, and Tawnee Oxtra of Austin, TX; nephews, Steven, Caleb, Ryan, Ethan, all of Gillette, WY, Preston and Bryson of Corpus Christi, TX, and Colton and Wyatt of Houston, TX; nieces; Kaitlynn, Faith, Paige, all of Gillette, WY and Karissa of Houston, TX.Jeni was preceded in death by her grandmas Joy Eggum and Joan Baker, great grandma Ann Taylor, and grandpa Burton Burg.
