Please wear your favorite sports team apparel, but remember her favorite team was the Green Bay Packers! She was born on August 5th, 1960 in Hobbs, NM to Herb and Lorene (Hayes) Henderson. She was the youngest of four kids and received her education in Eunice, NM where she enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball. It was in Eunice at an Allsup's Convenience Store where she met and fell in love with her husband Jim E Simmons. They were married on July 23, 1982 in Lovington, NM. While living in Gillette Lori worked at RENEW, Granny's Daycare, Kum and Go, Pepsi and Wal-Mart, where she worked for the last several years. Her Wal-Mart family was near and dear to her heart. She made a life loving and supporting her children in all that they did. Weekends were spent going to wrestling, softball, baseball, and numerous other tournaments to encourage her children. As her children grew up and gave her grandchildren she continued to support them the same way, attending school concerts, volleyball games, football games, birthday parties and all family events. The love and support she had for her family and friends is undying and will live on. She is preceded in death by both her parents and father in-law, Thomas Simmons.
