Graveside services for Anna K. Quenzer, 79, will be at 1:30 PM, Friday, January 16th at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. Anna passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette, WY. Anna was born on July 17, 1935 in Reeder, North Dakota to Kristian and Wanda Stang. She grew up on the family farm near Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1953. Anna married Herb Burrer on October 17, 1953 in Bucyrus. They made their home in Deadwood, SD where Herb worked as a barber until his death in 1966. Four children were born to this marriage. Anna married Bill Quenzer in November 1968, the couple lived in the Deadwood area and later in Florence, Oregon. Bill passed away in January 1989. Anna spent the last 19 years in Gillette, and was a resident of Pioneer Manor Nursing Home for 8 1/2 years. Anna is survived by her children, Dale Burrer of Gillette, Peggy (Don) Dihle of Gillette, and Joette (John) Vancas of Whitewood, SD, sister Caroline Szigedi of Escalon, CA, brother John Stang of Sundance, and brother Andy Stang of Stanwood, WA, eight grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Kerry Burrer, great grandchild Dana Marie Frasier, sisters Jeanette Flemming, Olene Kopling, and Bernice Bell and brother Christ Stang. A memorial has been established to benefit the Pioneer Manor Activities Bingo Fund.
