Graveside Service for Morris "Moe" Grud will be at 2:00p.m. Wednesday January 14, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating. Morris Grud, age 81 of Pine Haven, WY died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Morris "Moe" Grud was born on September 25, 1933 in San Diego, CA to Al and Renee Grud. He graduated from Fontana High School in 1948 in San Bernardino, CA. After graduation he enlisted in the Air force and served from 1949 through 1953 in the Korean War. He went on to earn his degrees in Carpentry and as an electrician. Moe married Barbara Marie Flaherty on February 2, 1959 in a chapel in Nevada. The couple had three children together and Barbara enjoyed raising the children and staying at home with them. In 1977 the family moved to Gillette, Wyoming where Moe was employed by Clovis Point Mine and later at Jacobs Ranch in 1997. After retirement he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He lived in Pine Haven from 2000 to 2011 and then at Pioneer Manor until his passing. Moe was a proud family man and everyone that met him knew that his passion was his family. He loved his house that was on the lake and the forest, and made frequent trips to keyhole reservoir. Moe loved to feed the deer and turkeys and had a love for nature. He was very active with his friends in Pine Haven. Moe's hobbies and interests was always family first, many camping trips, boating and traveling to see grandkids and great grandkids. Moe was an avid member in the American Legion Post 42 in Gillette, WY. Moe is survived by his daughter Lyn Hays and Johnny of Gillette, WY, five grandchildren, one great grandchild.He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Scott Grud who lived in Gillette and Nevada who lost his life to cancer in 2010. His youngest daughter, Shawn Renee Grud who was killed in a rollover accident in 1997 traveling between Denver and Gillette; brother, Kiko Grud and his loving bride and best friend of 55 years Barbara Marie Grud who passed away on December 17, 2014. A memorial has been established in his name to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Gillette.
