Memorial Service for Cecilia "Shorty" Ellsworth will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Father Cliff Jacobson officiating. Cecilia (Geisinger) Ellsworth passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 with family by her side at the age of 85 from complications from pneumonia. Cecilia was born July 23, 1929 to Leonida Geisinger and Peter Koenig in Rugby, North Dakota.Cecilia was raised in Rugby, North Dakota where she attended school until the eighth grade. She married the love of her life Donald Ellsworth in September of 1947; the couple raised five children together. Shorty loved to sew and was a great seamstress. She made all three of her daughter's wedding gowns, and two granddaughters were able to wear those gowns at their weddings. She also enjoyed baking for her grandchildren and spending time with them. She loved her family and cherished being able to spend time with all of them. Shorty and her late husband Donald loved to dance and spent many years dancing together. Shorty worked as a custodian for many years at Wagon Wheel Elementary School and made lots of great friendships there. Cecilia is survived by her children; Gale (James) Folvag of Grenora, ND; Roy (Laurie) Ellsworth, Jean (Bob) Edwards; Randy Ellsworth and Son In Law, Dean Nickel all of Gillette WY. Sisters Regina (Nick) Vetsch of East Helena, MT, Bernadine Volk of Rugby, ND, and Monica Miller of Scapoose, OR, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Cecilia is preceded in death by her husband; Donald, sister; Beatrice Mack, and daughter; Donna Nickel.
