Barbara Marie Grud

Graveside service for Barbara Marie Grud will be at 2p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Gillette-Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating. Barbara Grud age 75, passed away on December 17, 2014 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette of natural causes.Barbara Marie Grud was born on August 2, 1939 the daughter of Everett L. and Maudie M. (Richardson) Flaherty at Fort Smith, Arkansas. She grew up in Compton, California and graduated high school in 1956. Barbara married Morris Grud on February 2, 1959 in a chapel in Nevada. The couple had three children together and Barbara enjoyed raising the children and staying at home with them.In 1977 the family moved to Gillette, Wyoming were Morris was employed by the Clovis Point Mine. Barbara's greatest passion was her family that she always thought of first. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and boating. Traveling to see her five grandchildren and her great grandchild became her later enjoyment.Barbara is survived by her daughter Lyn (Johnny) Hays of Gillette, WY, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister Rena Wetzel of Gresham, OR. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her son, Scott Grud and daughter, Shawn Grud.A memorial has been established in her name to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Gillette.
