Funeral Services for Nancy Aars will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming with Monte Reichenberg and Shayla Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Moorcroft Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft. Nancy (Martin) Aars, 63, went home to be with our Lord on December 8, 2014 after a battle with cancer. Nancy was born September 30, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas to James and Beth Martin. Nancy and her family moved to San Angelo, Texas where she graduated high school and attended 1 year of college. In 1970 she married Doug Vandiver and they soon had their daughter Becca. They divorced in 1973. She met the love of her life, Houston Aars and they married in 1978. She gained two stepdaughters, Erica and Amy whom she loved as her own. Houston and Nancy moved to Wyoming because of the booming coal mines. In 1980 they had their son Trey. Nancy was an excellent stay at home mother for many years. Later on she had a variety of jobs including Human Resource Director at casinos in Deadwood, South Dakota and Cripple Creek, Colorado. She landed her dream job of being a librarian at Moorcroft Library in 2007. She loved reading, quilting, cooking and making crafts with her children and grandchildren. She also believed that every holiday was a time to celebrate with family and friends. Nancy is survived by her daughters; Becca Lang of Pine Haven, Wyoming, Erica Aars of Gillette, Wyoming, Amy Aars of Moorcroft, Wyoming, son; Try Aars of Moorcroft, Wyoming, brothers; Tom Martin, Paul Martin both of Texas, and Clay Martin of Colorado. Along with 7 grandchildren; Zachary, Breanna, Chase and Easton Aars, Aspen and Dustie Harris, and Max Camphouse. She is preceded in death by her parents and by both her husbands. The family asks that memorials be made in Nancy's name to the Moorcroft Library.
