Funeral Services for Matthew Fenchak will be held at 11:00a.m., Friday, November 21, 2014 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held, Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Gillette Memorial Chapel from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Matthew R. Fenchak, 62, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a battle with cancer. Matthew was born on February 15, 1952 in Libby, Montana to Peter and Naomi (Kortte) Fenchak. He attended school at Lincoln County High School. Matthew enlisted in the Army in 1969 and served his country proudly until he was honorably discharged in 1975. Matthew moved to Gillette in 1972. In the fall of 1976 he married the love of his life Kathleen D. Latta. They became proud parents of one son and two daughters. Matthew worked as a derrick hand for Cyclone Drilling for over 25 years. Matthew loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a fan of WWE Wrestling. He also loved to go fishing, spending time with his family and eating apples with his grandchildren. Matthew is survived by his wife of 38 years; Kathy Fenchak, son; Billy Fenchak, both of Gillette, daughters; Cindy (Jerry) Tescher and Peggy (Travis) Ahner both of Wright, WY, 9 grandchildren, also brothers; Jim (Barb) Fenchak of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Dave (Barb) Fenchak of Anaconda, MT. He is preceded in death by his parents; Peter and Naomi Fenchak, father-in-law; John Payne, and nephew; Dale Remmick. The family asks that memorial be made to help with funeral expenses.
