Graveside Services for long time Upton, Wyoming resident Evalyn C. Cooper will be held Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Upton, Wyoming, officiated by Scott Thompson. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Evalyn Cooper passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Pioneer Manor, from natural causes. Evalyn Crestina (Applegarth) Cooper was born on May 13. 1930 to David and Nellie Applegarth in Ord, Nebraska. She met the love of her life Orby Cooper on July 4, 1949 in Upton, WY, when he threw a firecracker at her feet. They married on August 4, 1949 in Ord, NE. Together they owned Upton Grocery for a number of years and raised their seven children in Upton. Evalyn is survived by her children; David George Cooper of Chandler, AZ, Elizabeth Nellie McGahey of Lindale, TX, Donald Paul Cooper of Lindale, TX, Tina Marie Cooper of Gillette, WY, and Toni Renee Barrell of Fleetwood, PA, along with 24 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orby Cooper, sons; Orby Chris Cooper and Robert Eugene Cooper, granddaughter; Pam, grandson; Quentin, two sisters and three brothers.
