Memorial Service for Bernadette Larson will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday September 22, 2014 at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, WY. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Grafton, ND. Bernadette Larson, age 87, of Gillette, WY, passed away September 17, 2014at Close to Home Hospice due to liver cancer. Bernadette Josephine Larson was born on August 5, 1927 on the family farm located by Warsaw, ND to Leon and Barbara Maszk. She was the fourteenth of fifteen children. Bernadette attended Catholic school, which was taught half in English and half in Polish in Warsaw, ND. She went on to attend high school in Warsaw but graduated in Grafton, ND. Bernadette married Myron J. Larson on November 16, 1946. She was blessed with two children Karen Lund and Duane Larson. Bernadette moved to Gillette, WY in 2010. She enjoyed her friends, cross stitching, puzzles, puzzle books, cooking stations (she loved food), going for meals at the senior center, garage sales and her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lund of Santa Maria, CA; son, Duane (Cheryl) Larson of Gillette, WY; numerous grand children and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and 14 siblings. A memorial has been established in Bernadette's name.
