JoAnn Eddy

Funeral Services for JoAnn Eddy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Gillette Memorial Chapel, Pastor Delbert Bock officiating. JoAnn Eddy, age 80, of Gillette, WY passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014, from a brief illness caused from cancer. JoAnn was born on May 17, 1934 in Doniphan, Missouri. JoAnn spent her life ministering to others. As a child she traveled this country with her mother, Chloe and sister, Alice, attending and participating in revivals and she helped hand out pamphlets. On June 17, 2002 she received her license as an evangelist though the Church of God. JoAnn was the regional Sunday School Coordinator. JoAnn spent most Saturdays for 30+ years ministering to the residents of Pioneer Manor, by sharing Bible stories, playing the piano and singing songs, many of which JoAnn wrote. JoAnn moved to Gillette in 1950. In the summer of 1951 she married Dude Laur. To this union 3 sons were born; Fred, Rick & Randy. They later divorced. She married Lonnie Eddy and they spent 28 years together. JoAnn was the proprietor of JoAnn's Bridal Boutique for 30 plus years. She was also a player agent for the Gillette Little League for 6 years. JoAnn is survived by her sons; Rick, of Gillette, WY and Randy, of Rapid City, SD, sisters; Wanda of Tacoma, WA and Alice of Nixa, MO, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
