"Blackie"Errol Douglas ClaypoolA memorial service for Errol Douglas Claypool will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Dallas Claypool and Pastor Harper officiating. Errol Douglas "Blackie" Claypool, age 68, passed away at his home in Gillette, Wyoming on September 10, 2014.He was born on July 9, 1946 to Leo C. and Winnifred E. Claypool in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. Errol attended school in Canada. He married Kathleen P. Ringguth on November 19, 1966 in Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Canada. They moved to the United States in 1969. Errol is the father of one son and three daughters: Dallas L. Claypool (JoEllen Claypool) of New Plymouth, Idaho, Christina C. Kolb (Wayne Kolb) of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Jennifer L. Kolb of Estevan, Saskatchewan, and Lesha A. Claypool of Gillette, Wyoming.Errol worked for Kissinger Drilling (Thompson Drilling, Adco) and Tree Electric (P & H Joy Global). He retired from P & H in 2012. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the Saturday night stock car races. He had a special love for photography, coin collecting and enjoyed supporting the Gillette Wild Hockey Team. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association for many years. "Errol was a rough and gruff man but very generous", donating to several children's programs and children's hospitals.Errol is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Gillette; his son, Dallas; daughters, Christina, Jennifer, and Lesha; grandsons, Radley, Warren, John-Wayne, David, Justin, Jordan, Christopher and Eli; granddaughters, Patricia, Kyla, and Desire; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Carol) and Dave (Vivian) and sister, Darlene (Bert); sister-in-law, Agnes (John) and brothers-in-law, Keith, Allan, Billy, and Larry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Del and sister, Diana.In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in memory of "Blackie" Errol Claypool to the Gillette Wild Hockey Team at 1635 Reata Dr, Gillette, Wyoming 82718.
