Memorial Service for Joseph Thomas Howard will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Walker Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Joseph Howard, age 30, passed away September 9, 2014 in Gillette, Wyoming from causes pending autopsy report. Joseph Howard, also known to his family and friends as Jos, was born August 25, 1984 in Alexandria Virginia. He grew up in Gillette and graduated in 2002 from Campbell County High School.Jos married Whitney Pierce but the couple later divorced. Jos was an accomplished potter, having won several awards. He enjoyed the outdoors in particular fishing and snowboarding. He loved tattoos and had acquired many over the years. Jos was passionate about the Toys for Tots Christmas Program. He had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh and a caring heart. Jos is survived by his parents, Donna Howard and Tom (Marilyn) Howard; brothers Adam (Crystal LeBlanc) Howard, Andy (Laura) Howard, Tony Howard, John Howard; sister, Alisa Turner; three nephews, eight nieces, one great-nephew and one great-niece. He is preceded in death by his maternal granddad and grandmother. A memorial has been established to benefit the ABATE Toys for Tots Christmas Program.
