Robert 'Bob' Eugene Kraft

Memorial Service for Robert E. "Bob" Kraft will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at Walker Funeral Home. Bob Kraft, age 70, of Gillette, WY, passed away at Campbell County Memorial Hospital on September 1, 2014.Robert E. Kraft was born on December 1, 1943 to Martin and Frieda Kraft in Hardin, MT. He grew up in Billings, MT where he attended school and graduated. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and served from May of 1961 to April of 1964 when he was honorably discharged. He married Kathleen Christensen on December 18, 1964 and he began working in the mining industry. Bob worked in gold, copper and uranium mines throughout the western states until the family moved to Gillette in 1999, where he worked in the coal mines. He lived in Wyoming on off for most of his life. He worked in the mining industry for forty years until he retired from Thunder Basin Coal in 2006. After retirement he enjoyed working as a greeter at Home Depot. Bob loved classic cars, fishing and spending time with his family. He was very friendly and loved to share his humor and kindness with everyone he met. Bob is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kraft of Gillette, WY; sons, Gregg (Jodi) Kraft of Winnemucca, NV, Mark (Trisha) Kraft of Firestone, Co; daughter, Danise (Robin Cumpton) Newell of Gillette, Wy; brother, Edward Kraft of Billings, MT; sister, Betty Streever of Billings, MT; nine grandchildren: Jordan and Mat Corson, Sawyer Newell, Walker Newell, Dusty Kraft, Kaci Kraft, Abby Kraft, John Kraft and Isaac Kraft.
