Memorial Service for Sue Todd will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Family Life Church, Reverend Jerry Rott officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Sue Ernestine (Joyner) Todd went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday August 13, 2014 in Gillette, Wyoming. She was 78. She was born June 24, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ernest and Pansy (Faulkner) Joyner. She lived in many towns in Oklahoma and Texas growing up. She graduated high school in Tulsa and attended Tulsa University, graduating with an Elementary Education degree. She met her life-mate Bill Todd on a blind date set up by their parents. They married in Tulsa Oklahoma June 7, 1958. They lived in various towns in Oklahoma until being transferred to Bairoil, Wyoming in 1960. They moved to Gillette 1966 when they started their own business. Sue worked for the Campbell County School District as a 3rd grade teacher and as county wide music teacher until the birth of their youngest son in 1969. Sue started piano lessons at a very early age and was playing in church when she was 10 years old. She worked her way through college as accompanist at a ballet studio. Sue taught piano lessons to many students in the Gillette community over her 40+ career. Sue's passion was to help others. She spent many years serving different ministries, including Prison Fellowship, nursing homes and senior citizen centers. She was passionate about helping seniors even after she became one herself. She was playing for the Pioneer Manor church 3 weeks before her death. In addition to her service to others Sue was deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed many years of camping and was also an avid reader and enjoyed to knit. Sue is survived by her husband Bill Todd of Gillette, children: Allen (Cheri) Todd, Dana (Steve) Urman; both of Gillette and John (Michele) Todd of McKinney, TX, brother, John Joyner of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Chris Urman, Casey (Jessica) Urman, Jon (Danielle) Urman, Cameron Todd all of Gillette, Forrest Todd of Rapid City, SD, and Katie Todd of McKinney, Texas. Memorials have been established for her two passions seniors and reading: Neighbors of the Manor (Pioneer Manor Advisory Board) and Campbell County Public Library Foundation.
