Virginia (Ginny) Whalen

April 3, 1934 — March 9, 2014

Virginia (Ginny) Lee Whalen was born on April 3, 1934 in Crested Butte, Colorado to Joe and Rose Carricato. Virginia grew up in Colorado, graduating high school in Crested Butte, Colorado. She married her first husband Virgil Woodral in September of 1956, in Gunnison, Colorado. From this union they had four children. She later married Larry Whalen in May of 2011 in Gillette, Wyoming. Virginia enjoyed music and loved dancing and being surrounded by her family. She was a devoted member of First Assembly of God Church. Virginia is survived by her son; Joe (Sally) Woodral of Kingston, Washington, daughters; Deb (Jeff) Rech of Wright, Wyoming, Cheri (Jerry) Magel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kim (Kevin) Daniel of Kenai, Alaska; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother; Joe Carricato of Salida, Colorado and sister; Nita Harris of Greely, Colorado. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, son; Geno Woodral, brother; Chick Carricato, and first husband. Private family services to follow at later date.
