Mass of Christian Burial for Anne Klimisch will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming, with Father Cliff Jacobson officiating. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, South Dakota. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. with a Vigil starting at 6:00p.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Anne Klimisch was born on Dec 31, 1933 in Yankton SD to Chester A. and Gladys (Martin) Beaver. She graduated from Yankton High School in 1951 and then attended Yankton College from 1951-1953. Anne married the love of her life Paul Klimisch, Jr on May 26, 1954. She was a stay at home mom but took in odd jobs for income while raising her four children. When the children were older, Anne worked for the Yankton County Assessor from 1970-1975. The Klimisch family made a major move to Gillette WY in the summer of 1975. She then worked for Decker's Food Center for six years. In 1981 Anne decided to fulfill her life-long dream of becoming a nurse and moved to Rapid City SD to attend nursing school, and she graduated from the Western Dakota Vocational Technical Institute in 1983. Her next job was working as a licensed practical nurse for the Campbell County Memorial Hospital until she retired in 1998. Anne's hobbies included the care of her family becoming a wonderful cook and skilled seamstress. She sewed clothes for her kids and crafted quilts for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing, exercising and could be seen many times walking around her neighborhoods. Anne was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. She is survived by her children Nancy Furnas (Bill Frantz) of Loveland CO, Paula Jensen (Jeff) Cheyenne WY, Dan Klimisch (Val) Cody WY, and Sharon Groves (Ron) of Gillette; six grandchildren and two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Anne was preceded in death by her three siblings, her loving husband Paul on September 2, 2013, granddaughter Jodi and great grandson Isaiah. A memorial has been established to benefit Gillette College Foundation Nursing Program.
