Memorial service for Pamala Ann Freeman will be Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating.Pamala Ann Freeman, age 53, of Gillette, Wyoming, Director of the Wyoming Prevention and Awareness Coalition, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of heart complications.Pam was born Pamala Ann Bakker on August 9, 1960, the youngest of twins to Glenn and June Bakker in Casper, Wyoming and attended high school at NCHS and Dubois. She found her soul mate with Tim Freeman in July of 1990 and they were married in December the same year. Together they raised four children. Pam graduated from the School of Cosmetology in Casper in 1993 and was a hair stylist in Sheridan and Gillette until a back injury prevented her from continuing in her vocation. After losing her oldest daughter, Latischa to a drunk driver on January 14, 2000 Pam made it her mission to raise awareness to the dangers of drunk driving and founded Wyoming Prevention and Awareness Coalition (WYPAC) and soon created a prevention program for youth using Restorative Justice Principles. She then presented this program to various local and state agencies. Pam volunteered as a victim advocate for the Gillette Police Department and operated the Victim Impact Panels for Campbell and surrounding counties for the last 12 years.Pamala is survived by her husband, Tim Freeman and son, Colt Unger both of Gillette; sister, Jannette Allen of Casper, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her daughter Latischa and her parents June and Glenn Baker.
