A funeral service for Cony Mae Eldridge will be held at 10:00a.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church in Gillette, WY with Reverend Michael Eldridge and Pastor Dan Holden officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service and interment will take place at a later date. Cony Mae Eldridge, age 85, of Gillette, Wyoming died at Campbell County Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 23, 2013 after a battle with illness. Cony Mae was born on April 27, 1928 to Francis and Zara (Harkins) Dye in Midwest, Wyoming. She attended Midwest grade school and high school and graduated in 1946. Cony Mae then enrolled in the Open Bible College in Eugene, Oregon and attended there from 1946 to 1949. After graduation she worked for the Standard Oil and Gas Company as a telephone operator from 1950 to 1952. Cony Mae then did her post grad studies from September 1952 through 1953 at the Open Bible College in Des Moines, Iowa. After her studies she moved to Sheridan, Wyoming and worked at the Open Bible Book Store until September of 1954. It was in Sheridan that she met and married Doran Eldridge. Cony Mae and her new husband lived in Sheridan until 1957. While in Sheridan the couple had their first son Michael. They then moved to Mills, Wyoming and had three more children, sons Thomas and Patrick and daughter Kathleen. In 1965 they moved to Gillette where Cony Mae remained till her death. In July of 2004 Cony Mae and Doran celebrated 50 years of marriage. After Doran's death in 2008 Cony Mae went to live with her daughter. Cony Mae spent her time taking care of her husband, kids, and grandkids. She was active in her church at First Assembly of God, she loved to read and embroider. She also spent many hours crafting photo albums for her family. Cony Mae is survived by her children: Michael (JoAnn) of Minneapolis MN; Thomas (Mary Jo) of Phoenix, AZ; Patrick of Gillette, WY; and Kathleen (Steve) Warfield of Gillette, WY, her brother Richard Dye of Tacoma; her 8 grandchildren: Micah Eldridge of Milwaukee, WI; Timothy Eldridge of Phoenix, AZ; James Eldridge of McHenry, IL; Craig Warfield of Gillette, WY and currently stationed in Bahrain with WYNG; Lindee Warfield of Gillette, WY ; Mindy Warfield of Phoenix, AZ; Rebecca Hendrickson of Phoenix, AZ; and Robert Barnes of Flagstaff, AZ; and by 2 great grandchildren: Aidan Eldridge of McHenry, IL; Ivy Hendrickson of Phoenix, AZ She was preceded in death by her husband Doran, her parents, a brother Cecil Dye and a sister Betty Estes.
