Larry Michael Tanner, 50, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. "Mike" was born on August 10, 1963 inRawlins, Wyoming the son of Martha (Rodda) Tanner and the late Larry M. Tanner. He was baptized andconfirmed into the Lutheran faith. Growing up, Mike enjoyed youth activities at Trinity Lutheran and was a ten year member of the Roses and Ranglers 4H club. Mike graduated from Campbell CountyHigh School in 1981 and later graduated with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology fromWyoTech, University of Wyoming. From playing in his Collins Heights neighborhood as a child tocamping and fishing at Rock Creek to hunting in the Big Horns, Mike always enjoyed being withfamily and friends. He also had a good time playing darts with his many friends. Hisnieces, nephews and great nephew held a special place in Mike's heart. He enjoyed every minute of the traintrip he andhis mother, Martha, took lastyear to Iowa and their visit with brother Doug and family. He thought the world of his sister-in-law Pam. Mike was always a devoted son and brother. His little sister Carol adored her "Bud" as he did her.All through his life, Mike enjoyedthe work he was involved in: from retail work in high school to oil field work with Updike's tomechanical work, tire repair for Big HornTire to his last job as Receiving Manager for Home Depot. Mike was an avid Raider fan and enjoyed friendlyrivalrywith fans of opposing teams especially his Bronco fans family. Mike is survived by his mother, Martha, brother Doug, sister-in-law Pam, nephew Matt Tanner, niece Amanda (Cory) Tagtow, great-nephew Drake Tagtow and extended family Brenda, Dustin, Bridget and Brooke Cargal, Kayla Tonn and Kylie, uncles Roger (Rita) Pansch and Les (Loretta) Tanner, great-aunt Evelyn Morris, aunt Bev Surrency, step-mother Dorothy Tanner and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry, sister Carol Tanner, great-uncle John A.
