Margaret Cross

Mary Margaret Cross, age 93, of Carlile, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Crook County Medical Services District in Sundance, Wyoming.A memorial service and visitation for Mary Margaret Cross will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Rosebud County Cemetery in Forsyth, Montana. Mary Margaret Cross, daughter of Kenneth and Katie (MacRae) McKerlich was born June 20, 1920 in Miles City, Montana where she was raised and received her education graduating from Forsyth High School. On September 23, 1940, Margaret married Malvin Cross. During their marriage they were blessed with twelve children. In 1984, Margaret moved to Carlile, Wyoming. Margaret was a simple woman who found her greatest joy in life was sharing time with her family. Special occasions were the highlight of her life when she would visit and share her love with all the members of her family. Being a housewife and stay at home mother allowed her time to plant her gardens and flowers along with being able to spend more time with her family. Margaret found much satisfaction in Genealogy and family history, as well as her animals, her gardening and sharing stories with family and friends. Margaret is survived by her sons: Bruce Cross of Moorcroft WY; Russell Cross of Alaska; Donnie (Linda) Cross of Spotted Horse, WY; Bob (Lynette) Cross of Billings, MT Larry (Jerilyn) Cross of Gillette, WY; Evan (Sandy) Cross of Gillette, WY; and daughters: Ginny (Burton) Pierce of Billings, MT; Vickie (Don) Hughart of Nebraska; forty-two grandchildren and fifty-two great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Malvin Cross; her parents Kenneth and Katie McKerlich; sons, Kenneth Cross; David Cross; Steve Cross; daughter, Laura Seward; grandson, Randy Cross; great-grandson, Santos Paul and her sister, Anna Belle Dowlin.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rusty Bell, Roger Hayworth, Sharon's Home Health Care, Cathy (home helper), neighbors and friends.Memorials may be sent to Wyoming Independent Living and RehabilitationPO Box 2782, Gillette, WY 82717Funeral Home:Gillette Memorial Chapel210 West Fifth Street Gillette, WYUS 82716
