Kathleen Walsh

Kathleen I. (Maley) Walsh passed away on May 22, 2013 at Close to Home Hospice in Gillette, Wyoming, after a long battle of progressive supra nuclear palsey.Kathy was born on October 18, 1938 in Crook County, Illinois to Joseph and Lucille Maley. She grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She would visit her sister in Rochester, New York and that is where she met Jim. They were married 55 years. Kathy and Jim raised their family in Rochester, NY then returned to Wheatland, WY for many years. Jim preceded Kathy in death on January 23, 2013. Jim was her main caretaker until moving to Gillette, Wyoming. A special thank you to the Hospice staff and Tammie's homecare for their care of Kathy at the end of her fight with this terrible disease. Kathy is survived by her children, Eileen (Bud) Day of Gillette, WY; Michael (Karen) Walsh of Petaluma, CA; Beth (Mike) Lockwood of Rochester, NY ; Patty (Scott) McEntec of Reno, NV; Daniel Walsh of Rochester, NY;, siblings, Jerry; Margaret; Larry; Austin and her sister-in-laws, Pat Maley and Mary Bellucci; Ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by husband, parents, her sister Patricia, and her brothers: Joseph and Thomas. A memorial service for Kathy will be held at a later date in Rochester, NY.
