"We cannot be angry with God. He did not do this, He however has given the grace to make it through."Those were her words On March 14th, 2013, Brenda Borchert (55) was set free from a long battle with breast cancer. Leaving no words left unspoken Brenda passed peacefully with her loving family by her side.Brenda was an angel amongst us; a calming presence like still water. Brenda had a love of laughter, Christian music, cooking & life. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her and Max's daughter Samantha Worthen (Borchert) and son in-law Cory Worthen.Brenda's final days were spent sharing memories with countless friends, her siblings Debbie & Dale, and several other family members including her nieces but most of all they were filled with laughter. (She had a great laugh). Her life here was cut short, but she has moved on to be reunited with her mother Nancy, her father Joseph and her brother Gary. There are no words strong enough to commemorate the person Brenda was. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be missed indefinitely."Perhaps there are no stars, but rather openings where the love of our lost ones pour through and shine down upon us to let us know they are happy."A celebration of life is planned for 10 A.M. March 20th at the United Methodist Church (Gillette) with brunch to follow. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Brenda Borchert Memorial" scholarship fund through First National Bank of Gillette.
