Sidney Oscar Clark

Sidney Oscar Clark, age 73, of Pine Haven, Wyoming died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.Sid was born May 16, 1939 in Cheyenne, Wyoming the son of Fred and Kathleen (Oshea) Clark. He graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1957 and following graduation he joined the United States Marine Core. Sid served his country from 1957 until receiving an Honorable Discharge as a Lance Corporal from the U.S. Military in 1960. After leaving the military he met the love of his life, Linda Satchell and the couple married on February 17, 1963. Together with Linda and family, Sid lived in Laramie, Newcastle, Tensleep, and Moorcroft, Wyoming before settling in Pine Haven, WY after his retirement in 1995.Sid worked for Wyoming Game and Fish for thirty-five years and was a Game Warden for thirty-three of those years. After retiring from Wyoming Game and Fish he went to work for Fuller Construction.Sid was a member of the Elks, the Wyoming Peace Officers Association, American Legion, VFW and the Keyhole Country Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, trapping, woodworking, and leatherworking. He also enjoyed working with animals and visiting with people.Sid is survived by daughters: Vicki Clark of Morrill, NE; Jodi Clark of Moorcroft, WY; Jami Selfe of Moorcroft, WY; brother: Jim (Sheila) Clark of Cheyenne, WY sister: Sharon Brown of Cheyenne, WY; granddaughters: Courtney and Colby Hemphill, and great-grandsons: Tyson and Tayvin.
