Colleen Robin Nygard

Memorial service for Colleen Robin Nygard will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, WY with Pastor Tom Frey of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiating.Colleen Nygard, age 56, of Gillette Wyoming died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Close to Home Hospice House in Gillette after a courageous battle with cancer. Colleen was born August 15, 1956 in Valparaiso, Indiana the daughter of Raymond and Janet (Deal) Miller. She grew up in Valley City and Fargo, ND and graduated from Valley City High School. Colleen also later lived in Mitchell, SD before settling in Gillette, WY in 1982. In her work life Colleen sold magazines in Mexico and Alaska for a couple of years as well as working as the hostess at Boot Hill. She managed an oil and gas pumping company with her former husband and for the last few years she worked for Merit Oil Company.Colleen was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a firm believer in her faith.Colleen is survived by her parents: Raymond and Jan Miller of Fargo, ND; brothers: Raymond (Stacey) Miller of Williamsburg, Iowa; Rory Miller of Fargo, ND; sister: Casy (Duane) Perhus of Fort Worth, TX; loyal friends: Candace and Steve Kahl, Val and Chuck Hoskins, Lance Weber, as well as by five nieces.She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Ray and Mabel Miller, maternal grandparents: Rex and Opal Deal, and uncles: Russell and Rex Deal.Memorials to benefit Close to Home Hospice House in Gillette, WY or a charity of your choice may be sent in Colleen's name in care of Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wyoming 82716.
