Funeral services for John Leo Noonan will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Kenna Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Moorcroft Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #42.Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.John Noonan, age 86, of Gillette, Wyoming died at Close To Home Hospice House of natural causes.John Noonan was born on January 3, 1927 in Moorcroft, Wyoming the son of Thomas and Daisy C. (McLoughlin) Noonan. He was raised and educated in Moorcroft, graduating from Moorcroft High School in 1944. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II. After his honorable discharge he met and married Marie Terry on February 14, 1953. John worked several jobs in his lifetime before retiring from Campbell County School District in 1989. In his spare time he loved to fish and deer hunting. John also loved to do crossword puzzles and watch sports especially football.John is survived by his wife, Marie Noonan of Gillette, Wyoming; son, Terry Noonan of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Debbie (Dick) Wallace of Gillette, Wyoming; granddaughter, Tonya Wallace of Gillette, Wyoming.He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.Memorials are suggested to Close To Home Hospice for people that cannot afford.
