For a brief time he moved with his family to Alaska before they finally settled down in Gillette. Jeff was well known for being a talented and dedicated long distant runner who, unfortunately was plagued with many injuries. He graduated from Campbell County High School in 2001 and stayed in Gillette working in the methane and coal mining industries. Jeff eventually followed in his father's footsteps and became a big equipment mechanic. He was employed at North Antelope Rochelle Mine.He married his best friend and soul mate, Jessie Palmer, on July 10, 2006. Together they built a life, a family, and a home. There was no greater joy than when they welcomed their two princesses, Halley & Natalie, into the world. It was then that their life felt complete. Every day they spent together was the best day of their life. He learned early on that "a happy wife is a happy life." His family life was blessed beyond measure, abundant in love, rich with adventure, and full of hope. There was constant laughter and mischief in the Rigsby home.Jeff grew up surrounded by the love of the outdoors appreciating the timeless bond it created with his parents and three brothers. He was quick to continue the tradition with his wife and daughters. He loved camping, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, snowboarding and just being outside. Jeff enjoyed things that went fast. He was fearless. One of his favorite memories was going to Vegas with his wife and father-in-law to watch the Mopar drag races at the strip. He had a lust for life and always welcomed a new challenge.Although he strived to be first in any competition and fast in any race, one of Jeff's greatest qualities was to slow down and cherish every moment with his wife and two daughters. From hugs and kisses to storybooks and playtime, his love for them was pure and unyielding. No matter how tried or exhausted he was after work, his family came first. He was a devoted husband, affectionate father, dependable son, perfect brother, and loyal friend. He will be sorely missed by those whose lives he touched.Jeff is survived by his wife, Jessie Rigsby; two children, Halley Rigsby 6, and Natalie Rigsby 4; parents, Christopher and Suzanne; his grandparents, Henry and Sally, his brother, Christopher (Lynette) Rigsby, Paul (Lora) Rigsby, his aunt Valory Maddock: aunts and uncles, Ron and Jeanette Maughan, David and Nancy Rigsby, Doug and Cynthia Rigsby, Curtiss and Vivian Rigsby and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Rigsby, aunt, Louise Rigsby, grandparents, Ada and Hyrum Maughan, uncle, James Maddock, and cousin Timothy Rigsby.
