Daniel Eliza Hammond

Daniel E. Hammond passed away peaceful Sunday morning on December 16, 2012. He was born in Hardin, Montana on June 29, 1951 to Carl and Rita (O'Brien) Hammond. Daniel attended various country schools in Campbell County until he completed his education at Campbell County High School. Daniel spent most of his life working on oilrigs and ranching from a very young age. He "broke-out" many ruff necks in the oilfield. He loved to hunt and fish in the Big Horns and at Keyhole State Park with his friends and family. Daniel loved to ride his Harley feeling the wind blow free. Lastly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. They were very dear to him, who he never doubted his friendship within the community.Daniel is survived by his three sons: Daniel Hammond, Michael Hammond, and Bryan Hammond, all of Gillette, Wyoming; his older brother, Bill Hammond (Tarel) of Pine Haven, Wyoming; older sister, Barb Patenaude (Mel) of Gillette, Wyoming; his younger brother, Bruce Hammond of Gillette, Wyoming; 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 nephew, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter. His memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Eagles Lodge. His family and friends are welcome to come celebrate his life.
