Funeral services for Loren Brenden will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jared Tuchor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Brenden, age 82 of Gillette, Wyoming died peacefully in his sleep, Monday, October 8, 2012 of natural causes. Loren Ardell Brenden was born November 14, 1929 in White Earth, North Dakota the son of Adolph and Margaret (Lien) Brenden. He was raised and educated in North Dakota. As a young man he worked on his family farm outside of Powers Lake, North Dakota. While Loren was working in Williston he met his future wife Adeline Borchert while driving cab. They were married on March 24, 1953 in Ray, North Dakota. While living in Ray Loren operated the local gas and service station. Later the family moved to Columbus, North Dakota where he owned and operated Brenden's Auto until 1972, when they moved to Gillette and he began work for Campbell County Road and Bridge. He eventually opened another Brenden's Auto which he operated until his retirement in the late 1990's. In his younger days, Loren enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to play his guitar joke around and entertain his grandkids with his magic tricks. He loved playing pool and having a beer or two with his family and friends. Loren is survived by his 3 daughters: Kathy (Gene) Erisman, Bev (Mike) Bowen and Diana (Wayne) Overby all of Gillette, Wyoming; 5 grandchildren: Shelby, Jennifer (A.J.), Jackie (Paul), Travis and Dallas; 4 great-grandchildren: Branden, Tayler, Keeli and Caleb; 2 sisters: Evelyn Enget of Powers Lake, Noprth Dakota and Avis Kincannon of Seattle, Washington as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Adeline; children: Clinton, Rick, Rodney and Deborha Brenden; 3 brothers: Orville Elmo and Arlen Brenden and 2 sisters: Olive Johnson and Sophie Enget.
