Funeral service for Helen Flint will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor George Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.Helen Flint, age 94, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Campbell County Hospital of natural causes.Helen Marie Flint was born on February 17, 1918 the daughter of Joel and Ester (Anderson) Ohman in Sheridan, Wyoming. She graduated as Salutatorian in 1935 from Campbell County High School. Helen attended the University of Wyoming. Upon completing her schooling she eloped to South Dakota marring Richard E. Flint on December 22, 1936. The couple made their home in Campbell County where they leased a ranch and eventually purchased the current family ranch in 1939, where they raised their children together. Helen made and designed her own clothes as well as her daughters. She taught sewing and was a 4-H leader for a number of years. She was active in the Gillette Bowling Leagues despite her gnarled hands. In the spring of 1973 she lost her husband. Later she married Gerald McCoy on June 15, 1984, who also passed away. Helen married years later, Roy Rolo on July 23, 1992, who she also lost. She made afghans for her grandchildren, booties and sweaters for newborns. Helen loved to golf, playing bridge, cribbage, bingo, and shuffleboard during her 35 years of wintering in Arizona. She was president of Windor Park activity board. Helen traveled to over 22 foreign countries repeating Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Sweden and Mexico. When she was unable to go to Arizona any longer she looked forward to her noon meals at the Senior Center. Helen was a member of the Campbell County Cattle Women, Rebecca Lodge and the Presbyterian Women Association. Helen is survived by her children: Randall Richard Flint of Gillette, Wyoming and Alice Marie Anderson of Gillette, Wyoming; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, infant daughter Karen Jean, brother Eric Ohman and grandson Randall Flint Jr.Memorials are suggested to benefit the Senior Center in Helen's name.
