Memorial service for John Hobart IV will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Randy Blakeman officiating. John Donald Hobart IV, age 21, of Rozet, Wyoming died Saturday, August 25, 2012 near Lead, South Dakota from injuries received in a vehicle accident. Johnny Hobart was born May 26, 1991 in Rapid City, South Dakota the son of John and Donna (Hershey) Hobart. Johnny was raised and attended school in Gillette, Wyoming, graduating from Campbell County High School. Johnny was an excellent student who always carried high grades. He played football through Jr. High and was a wrestler though Jr. High and high school. Johnny was a natural born mechanic and in his junior year of high school he went to work for Interstate Power Systems and continued to work for them until his passing. Everything Johnny did in life he went into with a positive attitude and he was known for saying "I'm gonna rock this!" He enjoyed skateboarding and snowboarding as well as fighting in Mixed Martial Arts competitions, and hanging out with his "brother" Cory. He loved listening to his music hard and fast and lived his life at full volume. He especially loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his mom and going on mile long runs with his buddy Slash who was his Great Dane. Johnny was a true leader and had many friends who were drawn to him because of all his special qualities. Johnny is survived by his parents: John and Donna Hobart; twin sister, Chelsie Hobart; sisters: Vanessa Stetson, Stephnie Connally, and Jeri-Jo Hinesley all of Gillette, Wyoming; grandparents: Mary and Joel Brandner of Sturgis, South Dakota; as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents: John and Jo Ann Hobart, great-grandparents: J. Don and Margaret Hobart and Joseph and Lois Vaughn; and by great-grandfather Paul Brooks.
