Funeral services for Mary Viola Keck will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor George Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home.Mary V. Keck, age 84, of Gillette, Wyoming died at Bee Hive Homes of Colorado in Greeley, Colorado on Saturday, August 25, 2012 of natural causes.Mary Keck was born on April 11, 1928 in Gillette, Wyoming the daughter of Tipton and Viola (Essary) Fulkerson. She graduated from Gillette High School on Friday and started to work the next Monday as a bookkeeper for the County Agent. Mary also worked as a bookkeeper in the Treasurer's office until she became a mother. Mary married Clete J. Keck on August 21, 1949. She stayed at home until her children were all in college, then she went back to work as a bookkeeper. Mary was a member of the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Board and Beta Sigma Phi. She served 25 years as the superintendent of education and as an elder at the First Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful seamstress, sewing her daughters and daughter-in-law's wedding dresses and bridesmaid's dresses. In addition, Mary was an accomplished musician, playing both the piano and clarinet. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Mary is survived by her children: Barbara (Craig) Anderson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Peggy (Tom) Keck of Gillette, Wyoming; John (Kathy) Keck of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Nancy (Thom) D'Albergaria of Greeley, Colorado; and Jim (Martha) Sutherland of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three grandchildren and two brothers.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Mrs. Keck's name to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or Front Range Hospice in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or condolences via the internet at www.gillettememorialchapel.com.
