Funeral services for Mabel Geraldine Thatcher will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Father Cliff Jacobson of St. Matthew's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.Mabel "Jerri" Geraldine Thatcher, age 85, of Gillette, Wyoming died Friday, July 20, 2012 peacefully in her home.Jerri Thatcher, was born on August 17, 1926, to Leo & Carrie Sullivan in Collbran, Colorado. She spent the majority of her childhood in Whitewater, Colorado and graduated from Appleton High School, later attended and earning an Associate's Degree from Mesa State. Jerri was married to Glen Fuller and had a son, Gerald Wayne Fuller in 1948, she was also married to Jim Starbuck and had a daughter, Josephine Diane Starbuck in 1950. Jerri moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1965, and started her life here with her husband Richard Thatcher. Jerri was a very active member of the community belonging to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, holding many elected positions and the American Legion. Jerri was a secretary for Paul's Truck & Tractor and did the bookkeeping for the Countryside Water Co., for over 35 years only just relinquishing her position at the beginning of 2012. She enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Jerri is survived by her sisters: Doris O'Dell of Craig, Colorado, Monna Dancer and Sharon Kyle of both Gillette, Wyoming; grandchildren: LaShelle Fuller of Lakewood, Colorado, Tina Pacheaco of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Cody Hensley of Thermopolis, Wyoming.; great- grandchildren: Levi Wissler, Casey Martin, Clint Martin, Kiaya Chapman, Audrey Hensely, William Hensley and one great-great grandson, Sylas Wissler; as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Wayne, Raymond, Mike, Carl, John, Jimmy, her two children, Gerald Wayne Fuller and Josephine Diane Starbuck and husband Richard Thatcher. Memorials are suggested to benefit the Campbell County Senior Center or the Rehab Wing of Pioneer Manor.
