Melvin "Jack" Clark, age 74, of Gillette, Wyoming died of natural causes on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Jack Clark was born June 25, 1938 in Millboro, South Dakota the son of Sylvester "Birdie" and Abbagail (Steffey) Clark. Jack attended school in the Millboro area but left school at an early age to join the work force. On June 4, 1959 he married the love of his life Ethel Wilson in South Dakota and from this union they had four children. The couple moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1967 where Jack found work as a truck driver with Getter Trucking. He worked as a truck driver most of his career and retired as a Transportation Supervisor. Jack loved spending time with his grandchildren and family as well as with his poodles that he considered members of his family. He enjoyed going to auctions, garage sales, and he also liked spending time watching sports, and playing cards.Jack is survived by sisters: Marcella of Arizona; Daisy of South Dakota; and Lillian of South Dakota; sister-in-law: Karen Clark of South Dakota; sons: Rick Clark of Gillette, Wyoming, Randy Clark of Wyoming; Rayleen Rogers of Gillette, Wyoming; and by four grandchildren.He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, and brothers: Ralph Clark and Dutch Clark; and son Ronny Clark.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Jack's name in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716.
