John Joseph Bailey

John J. Bailey Jr. former resident of Campbell County passed away May 18th 2012 at Close To Home Hospice Hospitality House. John was born in Sidney, Nebraska on April 27th 1947 to John (Joe) and Jeanette Bailey. John was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout attaining the rank of Eagle Scout with the Order of the Arrow. In his freshman year, John attended the Catholic Seminary in Sioux City, Iowa until the later part of his senior year. He Graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1965. John had several occupations but most recent he was in the trucking industry in California. John enjoyed all sports including Football and was an avid Broncos fan. Hunting, fishing, and golf were also cherished pastimes. John is survived by his parents Joe and Jeanette Bailey, Wife Valerie, daughters Jeanna and Rachel, sons John and Jason, and seven grandchildren. Additionally, John is survived by his brothers Steve and Keith Bailey and his sister Carol Bailey of Sidney, NE. John was deeply loved and will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday May 22nd at 1:00pm at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, WY.
