Memorial service for Lawrence Bruski will be held 2:00p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, Wyoming with Father Cliff Jacobson of St. Matthews Catholic Church officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be scheduled later at St. Philip's Cemetery in Wibaux County, Montana.Lawrence Joseph Bruski , age 64, of Gillette, Wyoming died of natural causes Friday April 27, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Lawrence was born October 28, 1947, in Beach, North Dakota, to Casimer and Helen (Marciniak) Bruski. He was raised on the farm in Wibaux, Montana and graduated from Wibaux County High School in 1966. After high school, Lawrence moved to Denver, Colorado, and attended a trade school, learning auto body work and mechanics.He married Karlice Feldmann May 7, 1970, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and they started their home in Beach, North Dakota. To this union came one child, DeAnna "DeeDee" Kay Bruski. They divorced in 1984. On August 14, 1993, he married Patricia "Pat" Carlson in Gillette, Wyoming.Lawrence worked in his automotive trade until 1977 when he began carpentry with Feldmann Construction and farming on the Bruski farm. The family moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1978 where Lawrence began work at Dutton Aviation while testing to get his railroad certification. In 1979, he started his 30 year career with Burlington Northern Santa Fe, retiring as a conductor in 2009. Lawrence had been a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus as well as United Transportation Union Local #495. He enjoyed playing pool and cards, target practicing, boating, and fishing.He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Pat Bruski, and her child, Lynda (Andre) Foy-Rivard, all of Gillette, Wyoming; his daughter, DeAnna (Trevor) Kay of Gillette, Wyoming; his sisters, Pauline (Alfred) White of Plentywood, Montana, Marguerite (Bob) Sommerfeld of Billings, Montana, and Janice (Bud) Smith of Billings, Montana;sister-in-law, Maisie Bruski of Auburn, Washington, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family that he loved and treasured.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Leonard Bruski, Marvin Bruski, and his stepson, David "Davy" Foy.
