Francis Virginia Gibson

Memorial service for Francis V. Gibson will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, WY. Francis Gibson, age 82, passed away March 4, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Francis Virginia Gibson was born February 12, 1930 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the daughter of Oliver White and Flora (Whitsett) Fortner. She married George Gibson in 1962. Francis moved from Rialto, California to Gillette, WY in 2011 to be near her family. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her children as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren . Francis was the strength of the family. She also enjoyed traveling and taking her chances in Vegas.Francis is survived by her sons, Bill Lane, Larry Lane, Paul Gibson, George Gibson and Bobby Gibson: daughter, Jeannie Parsons; brothers, Gene Fortner and Bob Fortner: sisters, Helen Flores, and Jane Curry: twenty-four grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, brothers, Billy, John, Fred and George Fortner: sisters Marie Kirkendoll and Alice Maness.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Francis's name in care of Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716.
