Clayton Dean Allen

Memorial services for Clayton D. Allen will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at Family Life Church with Pastor Martin Crump officiating.Clayton Allen, age 81, of Gillette, Wyoming died on February 26, 2012 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his family of natural causes.Clayton Allen was born on May 6, 1930 to Clifford and Dorothy Allen in Redfield, South Dakota. He spent his childhood and teen years in Redfield. In 1948, Clayton joined the service and spent many years traveling to many places. On May 6, 1978, Clayton married his best friend and life time partner Pat Gales. He became an instant father to her 4 children. Clayton worked for Sheesley's Plumbing and Heating for more than 20 years. In the early 1980's he owned and operated CDA Welding Company. Clayton also spent a number of years working at the CCPRD. Clayton worked at various jobs until his retirement in 2004. Many people knew Clayton for his dry sense of humor and friendly ways. He was a proud friend of Bill W. for 37 years. Clayton loved to talk over a cup of coffee or two. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family, except maybe fishing.Clayton is survived by his loving wife, Pat Allen of Gillette, Wyoming; children: Doug (Theresa) Gales, Tim Gales and Heidi (Phil) Bellor all of Gillette, Wyoming and Chuck Gales of Rock Island, Illinois; 7 grandchildren: Adrian, Nicole, Serena, Tyler, Aaron, Shelby and Colby and special extra Kara.
