Myrna Victoria Duesler

A memorial service for Myrna V. Duesler will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2:00pm at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Myrna Victoria (Marsyla) Duesler, age 68, of Gillette, Wyoming died after a short battle with liver disease on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.Myrna was born to John and Mabel Marsyla on August 15, 1943 in Kettle River, Minnesota. Myrna spent her early years in Minnesota, growing up on the family farm surrounded by her family. She was the youngest of ten children. She graduated from Barnum High School in 1961. She moved to Minneapolis after graduating, working for JcPenneys. While living in Minneapolis, she was reunited with her high school sweetheart, Stan Duesler. They were married on May 23, 1963. In the beginning of their marriage, they lived In Gilbert, Minnesota where their children were all born, moving then to Gillette, Wyoming in 1978. After spending many years in Gillette raising their children, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where they spent 16 years before deciding to return to Gillette in 2005, to spend time with family and be involved with their grandchildren. To their union, they had three children, Ann Marie, Daryl Gene, and Jon Fred. Myrna was a stay at home mom, involved in the lives of her children and the children of others, leading by example. In addition to raising her children, she provided daycare for others. She took in strays, like her niece, Cheryl LeAnne and helped with her great niece and grandchildren. She was full of love, had a big heart and just wanted peace within her family. In her free time, Myrna enjoyed reading, crocheting, computer games, playing cards, adding to her extensive angel collection, traveling with her husband in their classic car to Minnesota and Deadwood, and spending time with her family and friends. Myrna is survived by her husband, Stan Duesler, of Gillette Wyoming; children: Ann (Keith) VanderVoort, of Gillette Wyoming , and Daryl (Anita) Duesler of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jon (Kori) Duesler of Gillette, Wyoming; her grandchildren: Chantel (Duesler) Harrell, Haley, Cole, and Rachael VanderVoort, Kiara Lucero, Isaac Lucero and Morgan Duesler, Sherre, Antron and Bobby Younger; great-grandchildren: Terry Lee Harrell, Shylese Duesler and several nieces and nephews; brother, Gary (Judy) Marsyla, and sisters: Lila Niskanen and Marlene (Gus) Hendrickson of Minnesota.
