Funeral services for Brandon Kodey Maurice Sterken will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at New Life Wesleyan Church with Pastor Chris McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.Brandon Sterken, age 17, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at his home.Brandon was born on November 18, 1994 in Aurora, Colorado. As an infant he moved with his family to Gillette, Wyoming where he attended Sunflower and Wagon Wheel Elementary Schools, Sage Valley Junior High and currently Campbell County High School. Brandon was a great athlete and dedicated his time to the game of football. He was the Camel left guard and left tackle earning all conference honors for the 2011 season. Brandon lived and breathed football. He also enjoyed hunting a bit but was all about football. Brandon loved all types of music. He also loved being with his friends.Brandon will be missed dearly by his parents, Gary and Christine Johnson and little brother, Nathan all of Gillette, Wyoming; grandparents, Clyde and Bobbi Johnson of Riverton, Wyoming as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.He was preceded in death by his sister Gillian.In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested in Brandon's name.
