Funeral service for Sina Jean Craig will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Gillette Memorial Chapel, Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Dan Holden of First Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service at 1:00p.m. Sina Jean Craig (Taylor) age 70, finished her work on earth and went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 1, 2012. Sina was born to Ralph and Janette Taylor in a little shack along a creek in Gordon, Nebraska. She was delivered by her "Gram" on September 29, 1941. With this difficult beginning and an adverse childhood, Sina grew up strong and determined, never being intimidated by anything or anyone. She graduated from Alliance Nebraska High School in 1959. Sina married Darrel Craig on October 4, 1959. In this union, they had 3 children, Kevin, Kyle and Kelly. Darrel and Sina moved from Nebraska to Gillette, Wyoming in 1967, where they lived and raised their children. Sina was a hard worker and took on many jobs throughout her life. She drove a school bus, worked at Stockman's Caf, The Gay 90's, ran a dog boarding kennel, raised chinchillas, and kept books and coordinated the family business, Craig's Engine Service, est. 1972. Sina enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, camping, fishing, arts, crafts and doll dress making, done with her daughter Kelly. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing many beautiful things, including a wedding and prom dress for her daughter Kelly. Family gatherings and time spent taking care of her children and grandchildren were very important to her. Sina was a loving and thoughtful wife, mother and grandmother. In 1991, she became a resident of Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, due to her health. Survivors include her husband, Darrel Craig; children: Kevin (Shelly) Craig, Kyle (Nicole) Craig, and son-in-law, Rob Schmelzle, grandchildren: Camron (Josh) Tompkins, Jason (Malaina) Craig, Darin (Luz) Craig, Dusty (Brittni Jones) Craig, Dillon, Dawson, Drason and Danner Craig, and Quade & Darla Schmelzle, great grandchildren: Brady, Sabra and Taylor Tompkins, Cody, Clayton and Carson Craig, Kadin, Kobe and Jayda Craig and Cameron Jones and Emma Craig, all of Gillette, Wyoming; brother, Terry (Jane) Taylor of Raton, New Mexico; sister, Janet Bradley of Florida; uncle, Bill (Ardel) Shelly of Gillette, Wyoming and many half brothers and sisters. Sina was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph and Janette Taylor, step father, Jay Howell, daughter, Kelly Schmelzle, and half brother, Ben Taylor.Memorials will go to benefit the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
