Funeral services will be at the National Blacks Hills Cemetery Monday, November 14, 2011 at 11:00 am. with Father Cliff Jacobson officiating with a fellowship for family and friends at Deer Haven in Moorcroft, Wyoming following the service.JoAnn Flyte was born September 8, 1932 to Jack and Margaret (McCullough) Huston on a ranch in Midland, South Dakota and left this earth on November 9, 2011 at Crook County Memorial Hospital in Sundance, Wyoming. JoAnn had 8 brothers and sisters. She graduated from St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis, South Dakota. JoAnn received her teaching certificate in California and taught school in Branson, Missouri and country school north of Philip, South Dakota. She ran a business with her husband Charlie Flyte in Moorcroft, Wyoming for 30 years. JoAnn enjoyed taking the winters off from the business to travel with her husband to visit family and friends in California, Missouri, Nevada, Arizona and South Dakota. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Moorcroft Chamber of Commerce, Devil's Tower Tourism Association and a "good" Democrat.JoAnn is survived by husband, Charles Flyte of Moorcroft, Wyoming; son, Jim Irick of Kissy Mills, Missouri; sisters: Mary Jane Dugan of Rapid City, South Dakota, Sharon (John) Malsom of Fort Bragg, California and Margarite Dennis of Fairbanks, Alaska; nephew, Jack Dugan of Rapid City, South Dakota; niece, Diane Dennis of Custer, South Dakota; step children: Charlene Flyte-Monfore of Oral, South Dakota, Roger(Robin) Flyte of Queen's Creek, Arizona; step grandchildren: Jesse of Mitchell, South Dakota and Matthew Monfore of Pierre, South Dakota; Weston and Riley Marie Queen's Creek, Arizona; special children and grand children: Patrick and Mary Ann, Krista Nichols all of Modesto, California, Kate, Angel and Jenny Tull all of Moorcroft, Wyoming; numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Margaret Huston, brothers: Arthur, Jack Jr. Hewey, Joe and Rex Huston.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society in JoAnn's name.
