Mass of Christian Burial for Steve "Stevie" Allen Lara will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2011 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Cliff Jacobson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with a prayer vigil service at 6:00 p.m.Stevie Lara, age 54, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a long term illness.Stevie Lara was born on February 6, 1957 in Gillette, Wyoming to Benerito "Benny" and Rose (Jaramillo) Lara. He was raised and educated in Gillette. Stevie was baptized in the catholic church. He was active in playing football and wrestling while in high school. Stevie enjoyed listening to music, watching Elvis movies, visiting with family and going for rides to get a soda. Most of all he really enjoyed the company of his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and time with his family. He brought much joy to the lives of his family and other he met.
