Memorial services for William "Bill" A. Rohde will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Elgin Faber of Church at the Barn officiating. Bill A Rohde, age 77 years young, was a lifelong resident of Gillette, Wyoming died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday Oct. 23, 2011 of natural causes.Bill Rohde was born September 4, 1934 to William Ernst and Eleanor(Haas) Rohde. He attended grade school at Savageton, Wyoming and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1954. He was drafted into the United States Army. Bill was selected to be on the elite rifle team and received numerous medals, awards and trophies for his marksmanship. He married the love of his life Alice Catherine Reisch on April 5, 1959. To his union three children were born. For pleasure he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, the fishing lake and gardening. Most of all he enjoyed family and friends, a good laugh and great conversation. Bill was a kind and caring man and never knew a stranger. Whenever possible he gave a helping hand in time of need. Bill worked as a heavy equipment operator at Wyodak Recourses and retired after thirty seven and a half years. He was a staunch republican all of his life.Bill is survived by his wife, Alice Rohde of Gillette, Wyoming; children, Steven James (Tamara) Rohde of Sun City Arizona, Russell Dean(Lynn) Rohde and Lisa Rohde "Nowak" all of Gillette, Wyoming;14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother, John Rohde of Vancouver, Washington; sisters: Margeret Saunders and Shirley Stone both of Gillette, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Eleanor Rohde, nephew David Saunders and great nephew Jacob Saunders.Memorials are suggested to Bill Rohde Memorial.
