Nora Hammons

Funeral service for Nora Urrutia Hammons, of Gillette, Wyoming, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Walker Funeral Home. Nora Hammons, age 74, passed away October 14, 2011 at her home in Gillette, WY. Nora was born September 4, 1937 in Las Vegas, NM, the daughter of Delfido and Martina (Apodaca) Roybal. Nora married Inez Urrutia in 1951 and they had six children together in New Mexico. The couple later divorced in 1964. Nora then moved to Worland, Wyoming where she lived and raised her children. In 1978. She married Donald Hammons in 1978 and they moved to Cody Wyoming. She later divorced and spent many years devoting her time to help raise her granddaughters, Andrea and Jessica. Nora was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She was loved by all those who's hearts she touched.Nora is survived by her sisters, Lucy Gonzales and Helen Valesques; sons, Inez Urrutia Jr.; Delfie (Cathy) Urrutia; Reyes (Jill) Urrutia; dasughters, Rosa Urrutia and Lisa Andrews; grandchildren, Andrea and Jessica Andrews; Danielle (Walt) Ramage; Theresa and Shawna Ruff; Ashley (Josh) King; Jamie, Whitney, Jordan, and Megan Urrutia; Ramona, Brooke, and Mia Urrutia; as well as five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret Romero, brothers Leo and Eloy Roybal and her son Frankie Urrutia.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Nora's name in care of Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or condolences via the internet at www.walkerfuneralgillettt.com.Funeral Home:Walker Funeral Home410 Medical Arts CourtGillette, WYUS 82716
