Funeral service for Lucille P. Morrison will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Mike Morrison Ministries (Church At The Barn), #2 McKenzie Road, Gillette, WY. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the Victory Cemetery on the Morrison Ranch near Interior, South Dakota. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2011 at the church, #2 McKenzie Road, Gillette, WY. Lucille Pauline Morrison, age 79, wife of Leonard E. Morrison, died peacefully at her home in Gillette on the evening of October 12, 2011. Born Lucille Pauline Shandy on February 25, 1932, in Joliet, Montana, she was the oldest child and only daughter of Charles E. Shandy and Anita L. Partch. She graduated from Joliet High School in 1950 and married Leonard E. Morrison of Hamilton, Montana that same year. The couple moved from Joliet to the Hamilton area, where most of their five children were born, before moving to Gillette in 1964.In 1967, Lucille began her life-long career as an accountant, working first for Bill Door until 1971, then Don Cale until the early 1980s. After a brief retirement she returned to accounting, working with Marc Jones from 1988 until 1993, when she went to work for Dr. Rebecca Painter as an in-house accountant. She held that position until she retired for good at 70, in 2002.Lucille is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leonard Morrison; two brothers: Todd Shandy of Houser Lake, Idaho and Bob Shandy of Billings, Montana; her children and their spouses: Mike and Sherry Morrison of Gillette; Dave Morrison of Interior, South Dakota; Lennie and Gloria Morrison of Lake Elsinore, California; Mary Jane and Rusty Fieldgrove of Sheridan; and Jeff and Valerie Morrison of Gillette. She is also survived by 11 grand children and 12 great.
