Shirley Margaret Morgan

Funeral services for Shirley Margaret Morgan will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12 at the Central Baptist Church in Gillette, with Pastor Scott Clem officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Morgan, age 69, of Gillette, Wyoming died Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Close To Home Hospice House after a short battle with cancer. Shirley Margaret was born on December 30, 1941, the daughter of Harrison and Irene Stine Tarno in Jamestown, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1959. Shortly after her graduation she moved to Colorado where she worked for Safeway for 6 years before beginning her 27 year career with Western Electric. She married Welden Bud Morgan and together the couple had two children. They later divorced. After her retirement Shirley moved to Gillette in 1996. She began working part time for WDOT in 1997 until 2003. Shirley attended the Central Baptist Church and in 2004 started the Blessed Hope Ministry in Sundance and expanded to Gillette in 2005. She loved to read her Bible, teach Sunday School Class, listen to gospel music and share the Gospel message. She really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Shirley is survived by her son, Danny Morgan and his wife Donna; her daughter, Tracy Nabb; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way; 4 brothers: Robert Tarno, Myron Tarno and his wife LaDonna, Melvin Tarno and his wife Marie and Arthur Stine and his wife Marge and their families.
