Funeral services for Mary Lou Ingram will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at First Assembly Of God Church with Pastor Dan Holden officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday, September 29, 2011.Mary Lou Ingram, age 57, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota of cancer.Mary Lou Ingram was born on March 14, 1954 in Easton, Pennsylvania the daughter of Herbert and Mary Lou (McClellan) White. She grew up attending elementary and high schools in Easton. Upon her graduation she attended Northampton County Area Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania earning an Associate of Science degree. During these formative years Mary Lou was active in Girl Scouts of America and played intramural sports including basketball, volleyball, softball and track and field. She loved animals of all kinds and became a volunteer assistant to a veterinarian. After visiting friends in South Dakota she decided to enroll at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. In May of 1979, Mary Lou earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a major in mathematics and chemistry and a minor in earth sciences and biology. Mary Lou taught one year at the Gettysburg High School in Gettysburg, South Dakota before returning to Spearfish to be married on May 10, 1980 to Daniel Ingram, whom she had met and dated while both were attending Black Hills State. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming where Mary Lou worked as a substitute teacher for one year. She then worked for Core Laboratories as a lab technician at the Cordero Mine for one year before starting work as a water laboratory chemist first with Inter-Mountain Laboratories and then Energy Laboratories where she continued to work until her death. For the past 31 years Mary Lou was also actively involved in her local church, First Assembly of God Church in Gillette teaching sunday school classes, holding leadership positions in the women's ministries , a leader in the girls ministries, helping with fundraisers, and serving dinners at church functions. Mary Lou was always ready to give a smile and a word of encouragement to anyone and she will be greatly missed by the many people who knew and loved her.Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Daniel Ingram; daughter, Mary Ingram; son, Daniel (Muranda) Ingram; grandchildren: Dameion Ingram, Skylier Ingram, Malachi Ingram and Dakota Ingram all of Gillette, Wyoming; sister Loretta (Arthur) Millheim; three brothers: Herbert (Dianna) White Jr., Earl (Jean) White and Harold White all of Pennsylvania.She was preceded in death by her parents.Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God, women's ministry to begin a food pantry to those in need.
